Sustainable Energy

ISAR’s focus on the energy industry and sustainable energy programs derives from many years of work ISAR has done in an effort to counteract environmental degradation resulting from nuclear, oil, gas, and other energy industries. There is great demand by citizens, businesses, and governments in the FSU for more information about sustainable use and alternative energy as well as an increasing need to develop policies geared towards implementing this information.

While sustainable energy may seem to be elusive goals in the FSU, there are steps that can and need to be taken immediately to counteract energy policies that institutionalize unsustainable practices. One important aspect of sustainable use discussions during policy formation relates to the need for community environmental impact assessments and environmental management plans. Another important topic are the unsustainable or hazardous energy production practices that exist. ISAR: Resources for Environmental Activists works to counteract these practices by integrating discussion about alternatives into the environmental movement.
